Temple Wines

Temple Wines was established in 1977. Named after one of London’s most well known tube stations, the company began life as an off licence based in Enfield, North London. Met with a good response, two further off licences trading under the same name were opened in Marylebone and Wood Green respectively.

With the brand name firmly established Temple Wines began importing beers and wines directly from various continents under their own label, rendering them the first company in the UK to import bottled larger from abroad. It was certainly a daring move at the time but one that paid off. Beverages such as Super Trix, Baron Pils and Linden beer are examples of such drinks imported under their own label.

After supplying to selected bars and other off licenses, talks of further expansion began and the idea of opening a cash and carry dealing in beverages was considered. In 1989 this idea became
a reality when Temple Wines Cash & Carry Ltd was opened in Kingsbury, London. Dealing in ontrade and wholesale trading,
the business rapidly attained success and further recognition.

With such success, it made perfect sense to concentrate solely on the cash and carry thus began trading entirely under the Kingsbury entity.

The company today
Today, Temple Wines continues to supply to many of London’s finest bars, restaurants, clubs and off licences. Their delivery network covers areas within and well beyond London.

Armed with vast amounts of experience and great knowledge of the drinks market, the company has sustained importing beers and wines directly from around the globe and is now extremely well-known for having the finest selection of wines and beers.

Temple Wines was also one of the first companies to bring Eastern European beers to the market and were agents of the popular Polish beer, Okocim.

They have recently started to cater large events and hope to carry on expanding.
